Why is it so hard to follow a fitness plan?

Most people pledge around the first of the year to work on their fitness. It’s their new year’s resolution and they plan on following through with it no matter what…this time. That’s right, most people make that same resolution, to work on their fitness, and some do. The problem is often that the resolution fades away after a week or two. Why is it so hard for people to work on their fitness? Mainly it’s due to our lifestyles, our eating habits and it has a lot to do with our patience and determination.

If we do a routine or go on a diet and we don’t see results in a matter of days, we become discouraged and we give up. Don’t worry if this has happened to you, nearly everyone has done it. The trick to working on your fitness is to have patience.

If your goal is to lose weight or gain weight, you have to realize that it’s not going to happen overnight. Losing weight is usually the goal of most people when they say they want to work on their fitness. Unfortunately, in our world to many are dealing overweight problems. It’s mostly due to the fact that we’re lazy. One other reason is our bad eating habits. Portion sizes have grown over many years, another problem is the ingredients in food are more processed than it used to be. It’s no wonder most of us are out of shape.

To work on you fitness, you don’t need expensive fitness equipment or even a personal trainer. It is important that you do exercise to get your heart rate up, it is recmmended to do this 3-5 times per week. The reward by eating healthy, working out regularly, is that you will notice you are in better shape than ever before without any “miracle” pills or machines to do it for you. So there you go you managed to do it by staying focused and by practicing a good lifestyle of choices. That’s how you work on your fitness and that’s how you live longer and better.
