Living a life of fitness may seem like a large sacrifice but the rewards are large. Not only will you live longer, you will also look younger longer.

1. Eating healthy foods and staying in good shape results in more energy that spills over into both work and play time. You will have more focused energy for your occupation and be more active in your off time. Active people also seem more capable and independent. Healthy people are also perceived as more charming, confident and approachable.
2. Decreased illness- People who live a healthy lifestyle get sick less. They are not as prone to sickness that can slow down people’s achievement levels. Thus, healthy individuals complete much of what they set out to do. They are not hampered by issues with their health or time consuming doctors appointments. Since healthy individuals rarely have to use their sick time, they can often use the time for other purposes, like relaxation or vacations. They don’t need to take a leave because they are not well.
3. Look younger- Individuals who live healthier lives are younger looking than those who smoke and drink too much. Chemicals in alcohol and cigarettes dry up the skin and create an older appearance. Chemicals in cigarettes and alcohol reduce the amount of nutrients that are absorbed into the body, depriving it of minerals and vitamins that keep the skin and organs functioning efficiently.
Being young looking provides you a whole other set of benefits, from career success, to a better social and love life. Appearance counts, whether or not we want to admit it.
